Jeremiah 21-24

Jeremiah is now midway through his ministry of some 40 years. In chapters 21-24 he now brings God words to the last kings of Judah telling them of the demise that awaits them because of their refusal to obey the Lord. A prophecy that was fulfilled was directed to Coniah (Jeconiah) as God told him that he would not have any descendants that would sit upon the throne of David. With all of these dark words, the Lord still gives hope to the people by promising that one day the Messiah would come to reign.
