None Righteous, No, Not One
Romans 3:1-20
In chapter 3, Paul continues to show that all people including Jews need to be saved. As he writes about the Jew’s need of salvation, he addresses several questions that he envisions could arise regarding certain advantages that God’s chosen people claim to have had. Even though they had been given the Law, yet we are shown that obedience to the Law does not get one saved because the Old Testament declares that regardless of how religious one might be, there is no one good in God’s sight. Therefore, no flesh will be justified through the obedience to the Law. All of the verses in Romans up to the point have one purpose and that to show man that he needs God’s grace through His Son, Jesus Christ, to be saved.
