Picture of Sin I Presume

Sin I Presume

James 4:11-17
Bookmark and Share
Earlier, James talked about pride and how God resists it. Now in verse 11, he begins to teach about the sin of presumption and how it manifests itself in two ways. First by judging others. When we judge others, we set ourselves up to be God, placing ourselves above the Law and do that which only God can rightly do. Secondly, we can play God with our own lives by determining to do our own will apart from God's will. Pastor Jack points out that since life is so uncertain, we should always live our lives being completely surrendered to the will of God.
