Faith Set on Display
James 2:20-26
In this study, Pastor Jack continues with James' argument that real faith will be vindicated by visible works. To do so, James uses two illustrations from the Old Testament to prove his point. First he shows that Abraham had saving faith by obeying God by offering up his son Isaac. Pastor Jack points out that before Abraham did this, he first had to have faith. Secondly, James points to an unlikely example in Rahab, the harlot, whose faith was justified by her works when she hid the spies.
