Responding to God's Word
James 1:22-25
The purpose of God's Word is to provoke a response and change lives. Yet, for most, hearing is one thing, but doing is quite another. In this study, Pastor Jack points up the fact that James says that we can be easily deceived thinking that we don't need any correction. As a result, we go away unaffected from the hearing of God's Word. Hearing God's Word is like looking into a mirror and seeing who we truly are. Yet, so soon, after turning away, we forget what we saw. How do we overcome this temptation to forget? Pastor Jack continues with James' prescription of looking more intently by concentrating on what God's Word is saying.
