Receiving the Word of God
James 1:19-21
Often when trials come, we don't see them as an experience that God has permitted and thus often complain about our circumstances. Rather than becoming upset, we are to have an ear towards God and remain calm looking for God's purpose and plan knowing that being angry does work the righteousness of God. When facing trials, rather than being frustrated and verbally expressing our displeasure, we are to turn to God’s Word and receive it with all meekness. In this study, Pastor Jack looks at James' instructions on how we are to approach God's Word by being “swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.”
