Bookmark and Share
Over the course of time and through a long drawn out war, the house of Saul's influence in the north began to wane whereas David's influence increased. Eventually strife and division ended the reign of the house of Saul where both Abner and Ishbosheth are killed. Then the eleven tribes join Judah and anoint David to be king over the entire nation making Jerusalem the capital. Then with the nation unified together, David begins the first of many campaigns to enlarge the borders of the nation by driving back its enemies.
