It has been over two years since David had taken off running away from Saul. In that time, David was put through many experiences where we had to learn to walk by faith. In this study, we see a repeat of a circumstance that David faced earlier in his run from Saul. Once again, David is put in a situation where he could take matters into his own hands. He could take Saul's life and be done with running. But no, David learns to trust God to take care of Saul in His own time and in His own way.
