God Summons Peter to Caesarea
Acts 10:1-23a
Jesus said, “If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.” This is certainly true of Cornelius, a Roman officer, whom we are told was a devout man and one who feared God. As he sought God, the Lord in turn summoned Peter to bring the good news of the Gospel to him. But before Peter could do that, he had to learn about the love of God that was now going to reach out into the Gentile world.
