Preparing to Enter the Land
Joshua 1-2
As we begin the book of Joshua the leadership baton has passed from faithful Moses to his servant Joshua as it is now his task to lead the Children of Israel into the Promised Land. Before doing so, the Lord has important instructions and encouragement to give to His faithful leader before he assumes the command. In chapter two, Joshua sends two spies into Jericho who find cover in Rahab’s house who in turn, because of her fear of the Lord, asks for a promise of deliverance when the Israelites attack the city.
