Psalm 124
At times we all go through perils where perhaps trusted friends offend us or we face seemingly insurmountable challenges. In this psalm ascribed to David, he recounts the many times his enemies tried to overwhelm him. In looking back, he saw that God was on his side and delivered him through each trial. As believers, we too can be assured that God will defend and deliver us as he did for David. When David considered that God had made heaven and earth, he was then able to have a right perspective knowing that there was no trial or battle that was too great for God to handle.
