Acts 2:37-41
On the day of Pentecost, the day the Church was born, the Holy Spirit was poured out from heaven filling Peter and the others with penetrating power. Subsequently, when Peter began to preach, the anointed word of God went out convicting people of their sin and showing them that they needed to repent. As a result, we are told they were “cut to the heart” and 3,000 souls turned to the Lord.
