True & False Religion

James 1:26-27

In these final verses of chapter 1, James contrasts true religion with false religion. In looking at these verses, Pastor Jack shows that true religion begins with a changed heart eventually changing the externals such as the tongue. True joy and service to the Lord comes from a heart that expresses a worship and love for God in view of what He has done through His Son, Jesus Christ. A service unto God without love and devotion is worthless. The person whose religious experience is genuine will put spiritual truth into practice, and his life will be marked by a love for others and holiness before God.
